For many across the Commonwealth, finding affordable dental care can be a challenge. Whether you do not have dental insurance, cannot afford care, or have trouble accessing services, we're here to be your advocate.
Use the following information to search for a dental provider in Virginia or learn more about dental coverage options.
If you or your child are uninsured, start here at the Virginia Health Care Foundation (VHCF); the VHCF maintains a database of dental safety net clinics that provide free or income-based care for uninsured Virginians.
In Virginia, children enrolled in Medicaid have access to comprehensive dental coverage. If your child has Medicaid coverage, find a dental provider through the DentaQuest website or by calling 1.888.912.3456.

Beginning July 1, 2021 all adults enrolled in Medicaid in Virginia have access to a comprehensive dental benefit. Learn more about the new benefit and how to find care here.

Medicare does not offer dental coverage. Those who are dually-eligible and enrolled in a Medicare-Medicaid plan (MMP) may have access to some enhanced dental benefits. Contact Commonwealth Coordinated Care Plus (CCC+) at 844.374.9159 for more information, or view our FAQ for those enrolled in CCC+.
