
About Samantha
Samantha Dorr serves as Virginia Health Catalyst's Operations Director where she manages human resources and infrastructure for the organization. She is proud to have been with Catalyst in some capacity since its inception as the Virginia Oral Health Coalition in 2011.
Samantha earned her bachelor of arts degree in English with a creative writing concentration from James Madison University in 2003 and a 120-Hour Certificate in Nonprofit Management through VCU’s Nonprofit Learning Point program in 2014. She is also a 2010 graduate of the Emerging Nonprofit Leaders Program. Prior to her work at Catalyst, Samantha was the Education Director for Mid-Atlantic Renal Coalition where she executed objectives within a federal contract and served as a liaison to the Kidney End-of-Life Coalition. In the community, Samantha is actively involved with her children's schools and is a former member of the YWCA's Young Women's Leadership Alliance. Outside of her professional duties, she enjoys spending time with her family, writing, being outdoors, upcycling furniture, and listening to live music.
