2022 Virginia Oral Health Report Card Workgroup
In 2016, Virginia Health Catalyst staff and over 40 partners developed the Virginia Oral Health Report Card (Report Card) to measure our collective efforts and compare Virginia to the nation on oral health. It graded the commonwealth across nine measures of oral health status, coverage, collaboration, prevention, and utilization of services.
Virginia earned a C+
The Report Card highlighted areas of opportunity and strengths, but also showed significant inequities and gaps in oral health.
It is time to analyze our progress. Many of the original partners have joined Catalyst to inform the 2022 Virginia Oral Health Report Card. Workgroup members will support comprehensive data review, and disseminate the findings. Data in the 2022 Oral Health Report Card will be key to measuring our efforts to implement the Future of Oral Health Taskforce (FPOH) recommendations.
What's different in 2022?
While staying true to the development framework established in 2016, the 2022 Virginia Oral Health Report Card will also:
- Focus on equity
- Consider care delivery and access changes
- Reflect current data availability and limitations
Launch Report Card Workgroup
Develop Data Analysis Plan
Review Data & Design Report
Finalize Report Card Content
Create the Report Card
