Future of Public Oral Health Taskforce Recommendations (2021)
A Statewide Roadmap for Equitable, Innovative Oral Health Care
Convened by Virginia Health Catalyst with support from the Virginia Department of Health, the Future of Public Oral Health Taskforce brought together more than 25 organizations across the Commonwealth to build a post-COVID roadmap for transforming Virginia's public oral health system. The resulting recommendations are organized around four pillars — workforce, integration, data, and technology — and are grounded in a firm commitment to racial equity, patient-centered care, and value-based systems that meet people where they are. Use it to understand the strategic vision behind Virginia's ongoing oral health transformation and to align local, regional, and statewide efforts toward a more equitable future.
