Scott Burnette began serving Community Memorial Hospital as President and CEO in 1999. He has over 32 years of progressive experience in healthcare administration, hospital operations, managed care contracting, financial oversight, strategic planning, continuous quality improvement, federal and state legislative advocacy, and new venture development with recognized skills in physician relations, productivity enhancement, cost reduction, negotiation, and collaboration.  During his tenure, CMH has been recognized numerous times at both the state and national levels for its performance related to patient safety and quality.

Mr. Burnette received his Business Administration Degree from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia. He earned a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.
